A week ago our church circle hosted a Scandinavian meal for the "Golden Agers" (75 and older) and family of the congregation, which we served family style. Along with several other dishes, we served Swedish meatballs, lutefisk, potato sausage, lefse, brown beans, flat bread, rye bread, rice pudding, pickled herring, fruit soup, Danish (or Swedish, or Norwegian) pastry, rosettes,.... I can't remember what all just now, but we had lots of tasty food, a good time, and many nice comments.
One circle member did make this comment later though--"Maybe next year we could recognize the Italians and just have spaghetti & garlic bread!!!!"

All this talk of food is making me hungry and a smorgasbord sounds just right!
