Summer must be here. The produce is producing, and the freezer is freezing a new supply of veggies. So far I've put in several bags of asparagus, in addition to enjoying it fresh several times. Probably have a dozen and a half bags of broccoli frozen. And...... we have fresh strawberries! Yummy!!! So far we don't have enough to freeze any, but hopefully there will be. (The birds like the strawberries too. Grrr! But M. and B. put some netting over the patch, so that discourages them some.)
Things are different. Both girls are off to their respective camp jobs. It's different.

"It's different"? Is that all you have to say about us being gone? But I suppose "it's different", too..now that I'm home for a very short while! : )
ReplyDeleteYep! It's different all right!
ReplyDelete(It's a Good different having you home, even though it's just a short time.)
Yummo! We've got some tomatoes and cucumbers planted, and we're trying our hand at broccoli this year. We just put things in the ground a few weeks ago, so we've still got a bit of a wait.
ReplyDeleteWe tried strawberries for about 3 years but were never very happy with the results. Of course, our suburban backyard garden is pretty small, so there's not a whole lot of room for strawberries.
Maybe someday we'll have a garden big enough to freeze produce too, but for now we're happy to at least have a little of our own produce over the summer.
Hi to all...
