I didn't like missing last week's Scribble Picnic, but life was zipping along at too fast of a pace to fit it in. Think I would have preferred doing last week's jar, but at any rate, here's my attempt for adding to this week's "skulk", "leash", "earth", "lead", "troop", or "charm" of foxes! I'll try to take a look at everyone's jars too when I visit your foxes!
Now that you've had your first impression, I'm wondering what you think it looks like this fox is doing. Personally, I'm seeing it as something other than I first intended.
Have a good week full of God's blessings!

I see it going after some prey. But then again, it could be the happy dance of foxes. In any case, it's very nicely done!
ReplyDeleteLovey job, Jolene! I think the fox is doing a happy dance...they can get quite excited and they kinda jump about. :)
ReplyDeleteI think the fox is curling up for a nap? I'm not really sure but I like the quick strokes that makes up his fur. good take on the theme.
ReplyDeletehave a lovely day.
I think he is pouncing on prey - a vole, mole or rabbit - all of which they find delicious! It's a lovely sketch though and I'm happy you were able to join in today.
ReplyDeleteMary -
The action is great. I saw a video of a fox going after a mouse in the snow and that was the exact pose. You did good.
ReplyDeleteI think the fox is jumping up and down at a littel bug in the grass, but did you mean to have him leaping for joy perhaps. ha. Well, regardless, he looks relly wonderful. Great picture for this week's theme. Yes, sorry you missed JARS but so glad you came back for this one. Thank you.
ReplyDeleteI think he is jumping up and down - or ready to pounce on something. Great sketch.

He looks very playful, nicely done!
ReplyDeleteabout to pounce on prey? very animated looking :)
ReplyDeleteI think your fox is about to pounce on a field mouse. They jump just like that, well done. My friends dog also does that leaping pouncing thing.
ReplyDeletelove your drawing of the fox in mid-pounce!!
ReplyDeleteThank you, everyone, for your kind comments. I'm happy to see that most of you saw the fox as intended, leaping into the air, most likely ready to pounce on some small prey! Lissa, yes, I wondered if it looked as if he were lying on the ground instead!
ReplyDeleteYour fox is pouncing I am sure.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Terra, glad you could see that!
